Falling in love and finding your person is one of the best feelings in life, and it deserves to be captured with care. Your story isn’t ordinary, it’s amazing. Your photos and films should be too. My name’s Jon,
Bodhi is my middle name, and it just stuck. I’m an award-winning photographer based on the sunny side of the Big Island, in Kailua-Kona. Most days, you’ll find me barefoot on lava rocks, riding my motorcycle at sunrise, or sipping Kona coffee with Frank Ocean in my ears.
Clients have called me “an artist,” “a dapper videographer,” and — my personal favorite, “the cinematic pirate.” But you can just call me Bodhi.

I’ve spent a decade learning that the best moments aren’t the ones I stage, they’re the ones that happen when you forget I’m even there (magic, right?).
While a lot of my Big Island photography focuses on those grand sunset cinematic moments, my heart is in the quiet, in-between spaces. Whether it’s a contemplative look during getting ready, a deep breath before the ceremony, or a happy tears during toasts. I’m documenting the truth of your day—not a polished-for-Instagram version of it.
